Ever wanted to be a cartoonist? Come and hear how Di turned her random one liners and pearls of wisdom into a new cartoon series.
Di Batchelor sees the funny side of life and became a cartoonist in her forties. Her lovable, muddled yet insightful character, Rachel, appeared in the Wairarapa Midweek for six years and Di has since published two 'Rachel Cartoonz' books. This lively talk about Di's cartooning journey "covers all you wanted to know about cartooning but didn't know who to ask" (John Gordon, WaiArt, Carterton) and offers practical suggestions to help you to turn your funny ideas into fabulous cartoons.
Come along and be inspired. Release your inner cartoonist!
