Nelson is home to people from all over the world – making it the 3rd most ethnically diverse community in New Zealand. Our annual Multicultural Festival celebrates our region’s diversity with a kaleidoscope of delicious food and brilliant entertainment.

While we can’t travel the world, we can still discover its cultural richness from our remote little island. The Multicultural Festival offers a choice of over 40 tantalizing multicultural food, art, crafts and community stalls. A wide range of musical and dance performances from around the world are brought to the public by local, national and international groups.

Since 2009, Multicultural Nelson Tasman has been organising a wonderful festival for families, friends, visitors and locals to be part of a great connection of all people - to celebrate “Unity in Diversity”.
