As part of Artweek Auckland Muriwai Open Studios provide a unique opportunity to discover the wealth of artistic talent located in Muriwai, a vibrant coastal village and black sand surf beach 30 minutes north of Auckland. Come and visit their studios, talk to the artists and learn about their creative processes.

Open studios include painters, potters, photographers, sculptors, jewellery, textile and embroidery artists – exploring realism, fantasy, fun, light, and scale. Showcasing diverse ideas and perceptions of a truly dedicated group of artists. Some artists will be conducting demonstrations and interactive sessions.

From Auckland follow SH16 Auckland to Wellsford signs. After Kumeu village, follow the Muriwai sign and turn left. Pick up a trail map from any of the Open Studios - look for the Muriwai Open Studio blue and black flags.
