Once again, the talented and varied Muriwai artists are opening their studios! The Muriwai Arts Open Studios Art trail is a self guided walk/drive around the art studios of Muriwai. Visit the studios, talk to the artists and learn about their creative processes.
Look for the blue flags which indicate where the studios are.
And don't miss the Sand Art!
Lesley Wilson, sand artist, will share her skills building large sandcastles, sculptures and creating sand art drawings at Muriwai Beach.
Lesley will be running two free interactive sand art sessions suitable for all ages on Muriwai beaches – please bring a bucket and/or rake for a fun, creative and inspiring experience. Children, please bring an adult.
After you've visited the Open Studios and played in the sand, stop in at the Muriwai Surf Club for the biannual Group Art Show - this year's theme is "Leap of Faith" with over 45 artists exhibiting.
