Are you a tradeswoman working in a traditionally male-dominated trade?
Want to connect with other women in the trades?
Keen to learn valuable skills to help you look out for your mates in the workplace?
You’re invited to a fun, social event hosted by Women in Trades NZ (WIT), Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT), and MATES in Construction.
You’ll get to chat with women from a range of trades in your area and grow your support network.
Plus, you’ll have the chance to complete the MATES in Construction General Awareness mental health training, which is great for your CV and your wellbeing.
The training will introduce you to the nature of the problem with mental health in the trades. You’ll get practical guidance on how to help others with their wellbeing on-site, helping you be a valuable part of the team. You’ll also learn how MATES in Construction can support you to navigate the challenges and stressors of your career.
Whether you’re in construction, automotive, boat building, infrastructure, or any other trade that’s been traditionally male-dominated, this opportunity is open to you. Don’t worry if you’ve already done the training – if you’d like to connect with other tradeswomen, you’re more than welcome to come along.
