New Year's Day Litter Pick-up

We all love living and visiting the Taupō District, so why not take the opportunity on New Year’s Day to get together with friends and family and continue to look after the place we love?!

We'll make our way along the lakefront, picking up glass, cans, microplastics and anything else that shouldn't be there. And after picking up litter, there will be delicious pancakes for everybody!

You are welcome to show up at any time through until 10 am and stay for as little or as long as you want. Gloves and equipment will be provided. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes or gumboots for areas where the water level is high.
