Join the New Zealand Kadampa community at the 2021 New Zealand Dharma Celebration this April for a long weekend with a difference. This festival is open to anyone.

Gen Rabten will take us on a guided meditative journey, granting the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. Our hearts will be connected to enlightened love, compassion and powerful inspiration.

Following the blessing ceremony, for the first time in New Zealand, Gen Rabten will teach “Essential Insights into the Avalokiteshvara Sadhana” from Venerable Geshe-la’s latest release, The Mirror of Dharma with Additions.

The Dharma Celebration starts on the evening of Friday, the 23rd and concludes at noon on Tuesday the 26th of April. There will be a guided Post-Celebration Retreat starting immediately after and finishing on the evening of the 27th. See the schedule here: https://nzdharmacelebration.org/programme/

All sessions are available to watch online from the comfort of your own home. Links to the sessions will remain active until 24:00 on 10 May 2021. However, to get the most out of this experience we recommend that you join your local Kadampa Centre which will be screening the sessions. KMC Wellington, Amitabha Kadampa Buddhist Centre (Palmerston North), Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Centre (Christchurch) will be hosting the entire Dharma Celebration for their communities. KMC Auckland will gather on Saturday for the empowerment and teachings.
