Experience working alongside Ngā Hinepūkōrero in their public workshop focusing on growing writing skills and individual confidence for performing.

A safe space for sharing is created through whakawhanaungatanga and manaakitanga, as well as exercises that help with wordbanking and the use of metaphors and similes.

A variety of poems will be shared and the end result will be a creation of your very own poem that you can share to the rest of the group or take home and work on.

Once you learn these skills you can then keep using them to write more poems and share thoughts, feelings and experiences in a fun and creative way.

Following the workshop there will be a half-hour performance by Ngā Hinepūkōrero at 2pm.
