60 years of the NZ Merino Shears competition will be held at Molyneux Park Stadium in Alexandra promoting the merino wool industry and shearing and woolhandling. The NZ Merino Shears is the first compulsory round of the PGG Wrightson/Vetmed National Open Shearing Circuit that begins in Alexandra. Will have Open and Senior shearing, NZ Merino teams event and Open, Senior, Junior and Novice Woolhandling events.
