Palmerston North Dance Association

PNDA March Competition covers both classical and modern dance genres including ballet, barefoot, national character, demi character, neoclassical, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and acro. The Competition offers restricted Solo and open Duo Trios and Group Items. A plus feature of this competition is the Pacanz Nypa Nomination Classes, this year in ballet and modern solos and troupes. Successful competitors in the preliminary NYPA rounds will represent the PNDA at The National Young Performers Mega pacanz held in October in Palmerston North. (2021 years are combined due to Covid disruption to 2020 competition year)

Suitable for family entertainment. The classes for competitors range from 6 years & under to 16 yrs & over. Competitors are both local and from outside the Manawatu. The performances show a wide range of abilities from beginners and non-winners to experienced, polished performances from aspiring dancers working towards a career in dance.

Watching these dancers is moving, exhilarating and inspiring. Their commitment and talent is deserving of an audience.
