Peter Shaw Christian Singer-Songwriter in Concert

Peter performs on Sunday August 22nd at 2.00 pm – at the church concert Peter will be playing acoustic guitar, flute and saxophone, presenting his Christian material as a fundraiser for Guardian Angels, Family Works Tairawhiti. All donations/koha will go to support Guardian Angels.

Peter Shaw’s skill on the flute took him to New Zealand's capital city, Wellington to study music and while there he started by looking for the source of the inspiration.

That's when God introduced himself.

Through the sad songs and the praise songs, Peter still remembers what God said one clear evening when he bounced a meteor off the earth's atmosphere. He said, "share your music to bring joy to the people."

Peter has a soulful blues and jazz voice that can cover most styles of music, and has also released a number of CD’s. He is a graduate of the Whitireia School of Music and Diploma of Teaching and was the specialist music teacher at Wainuiomata Intermediate for many years. Peter has played in the Wellington Millennium Festival, the Picton Maritime Festival, in Jackson Street Fiesta’s and venues in Gisborne.
