Poet Tayi Tibble In Conversation and Open Mic Poetry Night

Join McLeods Booksellers and Poetry Bomb on Monday 23rd of August with our in-store event featuring Wellington poet Tayi Tibble in conversation with Angela Frank and an open mic poetry section.

The first half of the evening will be an opportunity for local poets to read in our open mic section, this is an event which we hold every year and it is very popular. Please RSVP your desire to participate to shop@mcleodsbook.co.nz, limited space is available.

Tayi is an established New Zealand Poet and her two books Poukahangatus and Rangikura have become bestsellers. Tayi heralds a new voice in poetry and is inspiring many young poets to express their cultural identity in bold and powerful ways. Angela Frank is one of the core organisers of Poetry Bomb and is also an established local poet and will be interviewing Tayi.

Tayi will also read throughout the interview from both of her poetry books.
