Pottery Class - Slip Casting

6-9pm on Mondays, 12 July – 26 July 2021 (3 weeks)

Come along to get a quick introduction to two types of slip casting. In this class, we will be using slip casting moulds as well as casting slabs to then use for slab building. Using coloured clay is a fun technique to add to slip casting and we will be doing this throughout the class.

Bring With You:

- Casting Slip - comes in 3 litres (for making slabs or small moulds) or 10 litres (for large slip casting moulds)

- 3x rolls of cheap toilet paper

- Stain if you are interested in colouring your slip (can purchase through Macs Mud)

- Any slip casting moulds you have and would like to use

- Plastic/Rubber rib
