Richard Sellars & Stan Bowski: 'Sequence'

Richard Sellars is fascinated by the process of improvised drawing. He loves to work in an unplanned way, letting the drawings evolve freely. He says 'I use this process to rattle and free preconceptions which lurk on the surface of my mind.' What happens on the paper is intriguing as repeating motifs appear, along with figures, creatures and fragments of a narrative.

Stan Bowski also likes to empty his mind so he can create calm, minimal work that gives the viewer the chance to slow down and reflect. His pieces are usually 3-Dimensional and abstract. The magic lies in the shadow gaps and in the spaces in between.
