On Saturday the 18th December at 7pm, at Old St Paul's, The Queen's Closet is putting on a new programme, Salvatoris!

The music is a Christmas programme, but a typically Queen's Closet one, and joining us on organ will be the fabulous Paul Rosoman. The featured work is the exquisite Missa Salvatoris by Habsburg composer Pavel Vejvanovsky, who wrote in a wonderfully tuneful style, with gloriously rich harmony.

We also feature voice and baroque horn with David Morriss singing an Advent aria by lesser-known composer Volckmar, and soprano Anna Sedcole in duet with alto sackbut in Fux's Alma Redemptoris Mater. We're rounding out the programme with the Sonata Natalis for two trumpets and strings by Vejvanovsky.
