Science Talk: Timaru's Clay - Insights Into Past Climates

Peter Almond, a soil scientist based at Lincoln University, will give an illustrated presentation on how the large loess clay deposits in our region are a record of climate changes over time. This was first discovered by Timaru reporter and amateur geologist John Hardcastle at the beginning of the 20th century.
