Do you want to have fun exercising but you’re not quite sure where to start? Have you always wanted to dance but felt like you didn’t have the skills? Are you keen to learn the moves from your favourite movies and music videos? Do you want to dance, but feel unsure about all the mirrors in a traditional dance studio?
Wellington-based dance enterprise, Shut up and dance, provides adult fitness classes that focus on feel-good exercise. While they are inspired by popular songs, the point of difference for their dance classes is that it is about how good it feels to dance, not how you look doing so.
CEC is proud to collaborate with Shut up and dance where we come together to run intensive 45 minute dance classes as part of our community education programme.
Shut up and dance is about giving something new a go. It is about working up a sweat. It is about bringing some active joy into your week.
Gather your friends, grab some comfortable clothes and give this different type of dance class a go. Learn to quieten your inner critic and celebrate being in a space that encourages you to dance your heart out.

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
