Song & Poetry Festival

The Song & Poetry Festival, a spinoff from the monthly Waiheke Song & Poetry Thing is aimed at encouraging the island’s large and diverse creative community of poets, writers and musicians to come together to celebrate the arts.

The evening will feature poetry readings and musical performances by outstanding local artists including Poets Michelle Chote, Noa Native, Sue Fitchett, Julie Biuso and Mike Johnson and Leila Lees and musical performances and original songs by Tanya Batt, Dollface, Aaron Carpenter and Shayne Hurricane Wills and Zephyr Wills.

Special guest Poet Laureate David Eggleton will give a reading and will also announce winners of the poetry competition.
