We are delighted to advise that a SC Healthcare Awards Gala Evening has been scheduled for the 7th August, 2021!

In 2018, approximately 400 people attended the Healthcare Awards evening, with over 80 nominations for awards in recognition of health service excellence. We invite you to be part of truly acknowledging and celebrating our “unsung heroes” of Health. These are the people amongst us who stand out as the true innovators and those going beyond the call of duty to make a genuine difference every day to our South Canterbury community. It was a sell-out event in 2018 and we expect this year to be another night to remember!

The SC Healthcare Awards Committee aims to recognise the dedication, commitment and contribution of the individuals and teams who strive for excellence across all of our local health services including our General Practices, Aged Care facilities, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Dental Services, Mental Health Services, Hospital Services and the many other Private, Public and Volunteer-led services that make up our community’s health system. By celebrating our health services together, we recognise and value that we are ‘one team’.

There are 6 health awards designed to be inclusive of all health professions, aligned with the health strategy and with our vision. The awards aim to foster innovation, celebrate achievements, promote our culture of learning and genuinely acknowledge the hard work and excellence of the South Canterbury Health Service.
