Grab a picnic, put on your dancing shoes and head on down to Aotea Lagoon's rose garden for Porirua City’s popular Summer Concert Series! Enjoy a few relaxed summer evenings of music at our four free shows, featuring new artists as well as old favourites.

Summer Concert Series takes place over Wellington Anniversary weekend.

We encourage you to prepare and bring a picnic to these fantastic evenings. You can also purchase ice creams from Mr Whippy and coffee from a local coffee cart.

Here’s the 2021 line up:

22 January
The Blueprint
We will be kicking off the concert series with a bang. The Blueprint is a 4-piece covers band, hailing from the Wellington region. Armed with a diverse set-list, they will be delivering your favourite classic rock covers.

23 January
Shaun Preston
Another hot summer favourite is singer, songwriter, pianist and all-round entertainer Shaun Preston, back by popular demand. Performing a diverse range of hits from acts like The Killers, David Bowie, Adele and Elton John, Shaun is a firm favourite for many concert-goers.

24 January
The Shenanigans
It wouldn’t be a Summer Concert Series without our favourite Irish band The Shenanigans, who never fail to entertain.
The band bring their own unique style with a fun, Celtic twist on each song — be it rock ‘n’ roll, country or Irish classics. Come and experience some summer fun with The Shenanigans — you won’t be disappointed!

25 January
Mojo Band Wellington
With top 10 hits from the 50s through to the very latest music, Mojo aim to get everyone up and dancing with an impressive setlist.
Lead singer Grant Sullivan is the voice of Dancing with the Stars and Mojo have been rocking together for more than 20 years in New Zealand and overseas.
