Rapaura Springs Garden Marlborough is delighted to announce this year’s headline speakers – Auckland-based plant aficionado Suzanne Turley and Italian-trained landscape architect Ermanno Cattaneo.

Suzanne Turley is a self-trained plant aficionado, and the founder of one of New Zealand’s most sought-after landscape design studios. The Auckland-based practice is responsible for some of the country’s most prestigious and creative gardens, drawing on its broad range of design and horticultural experience to produce work that accentuates a garden’s structural assets while evoking a sense of discovery and whimsy. Ten years ago Suzanne Turley’s team was joined by Ermanno Cattaneo, an Italian-trained architect whose formal education and European sensibility has added an extra dimension to the studio’s offering. While Suzanne draws on her deep knowledge of plants, Ermanno specialises in the development of master plans, the layout of spaces and connections between spaces, and the architectural composition and detail of the garden.

Appearing at Rapaura Springs Garden Marlborough for the first time, Suzanne and Ermanno will take you on a visual tour, sharing intimate detail behind the scenes of some of New Zealand's most impressive gardens, from Huka Lodge to the Hills in Queenstown.
