Tutor: Anna-Maria Bribiesca

This course will run in two formats in 2021: as an evening course 6 - 9pm over two consecutive Mondays, or as a weekend workshop. Courses start on 3 May, 27 June or 20 September.

This is a guided paper collage course to extend your creativity and develop concepts in a supportive learning environment. Artist and teacher Anna-Maria Bribiesca will show you techniques and help you express your ideas through collage. Examples of her work are illustrated.

Paper collage is a forgiving, quick and effective form of art-making that allows you to create your own images from a variety of sources. The technique was, and is still today, used by many artists. In this course you will learn to assemble unique collaged artworks in your preferred genre and to a theme of your own choosing.

Materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own items if you are developing or testing an existing concept.

Who should attend The Art of Paper Collage? Open to new and experienced alike. This is a hands-on course to support the experienced artist develop, or the hobbyist to get acquainted to a versatile technique which can be helpful in a variety of applications, from quilting to scrapbooking, to zines and conceptual artworks and painting.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
