​​The British Invasion Show is a nostalgic trip back to the greatest British music of the 1960’s. This hugely popular show has been touring the country to sold out shows with rave reviews everywhere.

The show features music from a wide variety of performers; The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, The Kinks, The Bee Gees, Manfred Mann, The Searchers, The Dave Clark Five, The Fortunes, The Spencer Davis Group, Billy J Kramer, Donovan, Gerry and The Pacemakers and many more...

The British Invasion band comprises four exceptionally talented musicians. Together they are dynamite and every band member sings, enabling them to re-create those marvelous harmonies which dominated the era.

It is a journey through some of the most popular hits of the time, an evening of professional energetic entertainment.

Band Members Bio:
Ian Smith – Lead vocals, guitar and harmonica.
Ian was born and raised in Liverpool, UK – the home of the Beatles. He played in covers bands all around the north west of UK and in bands doing original material in the late 90’s. His claim to fame is being credited with guitar on a top 40 hit back in 1998.

Influenced heavily by The Beatles, of course, loves his Floyd and his old time blues with the likes of Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Clapton and the like.

He has been in NZ for 20 years now, so luckily you can just about understand him.

Andy Allan– Drums
Andy hails from Birmingham in the UK, and is the second Brit in the band. Born at a very young age in 1969, Andy grew up in the UK where he played with many of the leading lights in the local music scene including sessions for Songwriters James Novak and Billy Goode (better known as Novak & Goode) later joining The Fondue Set, The T Bones and Conspiracy.

Andy likes all types of music and loves to play live, most recently performing in cover bands in and around Auckland.

Influenced by: Ringo, Jim Keltner, Nicky Headon, Roy Ayres, Roy Kinnear, Bernard Cribbins and Count Arthur Strong.

Serg Chesnokov – Lead Guitar and Vocals
Originally from Belarus in the former Soviet Union, studied accordion for 6 years at Music College, then played brass tenor in the military orchestra of the Soviet army and played lead guitar in a Soviet army rock band, before being sent to Siberia for telling bad jokes.

Serge is a consummate musician with truly extensive live and studio experience in the former Soviet Union, USA, Germany and NZ, playing with the likes of; Blue Train, Murray McNab, Tim Hopkins, Nikola Memedovich, Georgia Dudder, Split Second and others local musos.

Andrew Horst– Bass
The token Kiwi! Yes, Andrew was born and raised in Gods own Aotearoa. That being said, Andrew spent 5 years touring all over the USA with a well respected blues band. Based primarily in Tennessee, generally playing in Nashville and Memphis – Andrew has been there, done it, seen it and worn the T shirt.Now back in NZ Andrew also does session work for original artists as long as the British Invasion band allow him out of his cage.
