F*cked Up Family Circus presents The Freaks are Running the Show. An evening of mayhem and chaos, anarchy and dark artistry presented by a motley crew of talented creeps, freaks, weirdos and degenerates coming to take over and f*ck your sh*t up.

Come witness the strange spectacle and weird noise of our freakiest freak show yet. Hot on the success of our sell out show at Fringe in the Stings 2020 the F*cked Up Family Circus has reassembled to bring you an almost all new show centred around our core values of empowerment and authenticity. Follow the Freak on a journey through the circles of hell to be granted the freedom of flight. Be entranced by a haunting original improvised score from some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest musicians. Marvel at our magnificently painted set, props, costumes and makeup. See real freaks in their freakish element doing strange and wonderful things.

This show is not for the faint-hearted. There will be nudity. There will be discomfort. You will be confronted. You may get wet. Strictly R18.

We care about consent. Do you? You do not have permission to capture or post images of our performers without their explicit consent.

The Freaks are Running the Show is presented as part of Safe As Festival, a Level 2 friendly extravaganza produced and executed by the community at the artistic heart of Hastings running over the first two weekends of October. The Freaks are Running the Show will be the festival’s final performance held on Saturday 9 October at 9pm. Tickets are limited. $25.
