The Great Auckland Virtual Duck Race 2021

The Manukau Toyota Group ‘Great Auckland Virtual Duck Race’.

We are going virtual!

Due to Covid-19, The Great Auckland Duck Race this year is going VIRTUAL. Instead of cheering on your duck by the whitewater rapids at Vector Wero Whitewater Park, do it from the comfort of your couch!

How will it work?

On Sunday 24th October go to ‘The Great Auckland Duck Race’ Facebook page.

Watch all three races at the following times:

School Race: 10am
Business Race: 10:30am
Everybody Race: 11am
Prize-giving: 11:30am

Can I attend the event on the day?

Unfortunately not. Due to the uncertainty of which alert level Auckland will be in and attendee number restrictions we are unable to have the public there.

Can I still buy a Business Duck?

Yes! However, Business ducks need to be returned by Thursday 7th October. This ensures we will be able to include your duck in the best-dressed competition.

Can I still buy an Everybody Duck ticket?

Yes! Everybody duck tickets can be purchased through our website.

Everybody duck tickets will be available to buy until October 16th at 5pm.

What prizes can I win?

We have fantastic prizes for each race:

- School Race: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
- Businesses Race: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
- Everybody Race: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
- Best dressed School Duck
- Best dressed Business Duck

Can I vote for the Best-Dressed ducks?

Yes you can from October 8th to 23rd on The Great Auckland Duck Race Facebook page.

Just ‘like’ the photo you think is the Best Dressed Business & School duck.

1 Like = 1 Vote! Likes will only be counted from the original photo posted by us.

Prizes will be announced during the prize-giving on Facebook on October 24th 2021

How can I still support the event?

You can still support the event by:
- Being interactive on our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Buying a Business duck on our website
- Buying a $5 Everybody ticket on our website
- Donating via (will sort website link once added)
