James Illingworth is a pianist and composer known for his emotive improvisational jazz performances. Darren Mathiassen (Shapeshifter, Holly Smith, Kora), joins him on drums along with Johnny Lawrence (Electric Wire Hustle, Holly Smith, Solaa) on bass, as they join musical forces for a night of raucous outbursts and playful interpretations of classic jazz standards and James’s composition. This all-acoustic trio have an electrifying and surprising connection that manifests as a powerful live force.

To make sure we’re keeping everyone safe in groups and socially distanced, and to make sure our bands get paid, we will be selling tables @ $40 for 4 people and one special large group on the famous purple couch! Maybe some 2s for $20 on the night if there's space left.
Numbers are very limited so get a group together and email chris@rogueandvagabond.co.nz.
To secure a table, you can even pre-purchase a pizza to be ready when you arrive if that’s your vibe.
