The Picture Project (2020) (5’)
An Immersive Experience
Step into an immersive audio-visual experience representing contemporary life in Dunedin presented via a digital screen, printed panels and diffused sound.
A collaborative work between composer Warwick Blair and designer Leanne Matthews, this project aims to compile unique snapshots of New Zealand life into an “ultimate representation or expression of environment”.
Utilising photos submitted by members of the community; hear how Blair has compiled these snapshots into sound which has then been woven into a composition. For the visual component, see how artist Matthews has superimposed the submitted photographs into one image, emphasizing the theme of community unity which runs throughout the project.
10am – 4pm, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June
