Colin James will explore two new books related to the Treaty of Waitangi with their authors.
One is Claudia Orange's extensively updated and illustrated acclaimed seminal history of the Treaty, first published in 1987: 'The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi. An Illustrated History'.
The other is former Treaty Negotiations Minister Chris Finlayson's account of the settlement process and outcomes, 'He Kupu Taurangi: Treaty Settlements and the future of Aotearoa New Zealand'.
Academic historian Te Maire Tau of Ngai Tahu will comment on the books and the future of the Treaty/ Te Tiriti in Aotearoa New Zealand in 2021.
