Friday the 13th is Fright Night at Otago Museum!

Join us and the hostile shape-shifting extraterrestrial organism The Thing for this a Sci-fi Friday screening.

Horror-meister John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York) teams Kurt Russell’s outstanding performance with incredible visuals in this chilling version of The Thing. In the winter of 1982, a twelve-man research team at a remote Antarctic research station discover an alien buried in the snow for over 100 000 years. Once unfrozen, the form-changing alien wreaks havoc, creates terror, and becomes one of them.

Sci-fi Fridays take place once a month in Otago Museum's Perpetual Guardian Planetarium. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

Rated R-16. Run time 109 minutes. Tickets are available from the Museum Shop, or online.
