The Radio Doctor - Exploring Dr Turbott's wartime health broadcasting.

Otago Settlers Association Tuesday Club meets once a month for morning tea and a guest speaker.
This month’s speaker is Claire Macindoe. Radio has played a crucial role in educating and connecting New Zealand’s citizens during the twentieth century – particularly in times of need. ‘The Radio Doctor’ began broadcasting during World War Two, as a response to pressing health matters, and provides a glimpse into New Zealand’s changing health landscape and ongoing radio culture over a forty-year span.
