Back for 2021

Once again over Mothers Day weekend, the Waimumu Art Exhibition is being held, attracting new, emerging and established artists from around New Zealand.

The comment from the many visitors and exhibitors to the exhibition each year, is that the art is consistently presented in a professional manner, in our welcoming environment created at our local Waimumu Te Tipua Hall and Church, by a dedicated group of enthusiastic local volunteers. We embrace new and emerging artists into the realm that has become known as Waimumu Arts.

We are delighted to welcome Marie Reid-Beadle as our guest artist for this, our 11th Exhibition. Marie started pursuing her passion to be an artist approximately 16 years ago. She is self-taught and her style and choice of subject has somewhat changed over the years. Having started with painting succulents and moving on to cows and native birds. She is well recognised for her native birds with Highland cows series and her newly inspired Balancing Act series.

We are just a 10 minute drive from Gore; and central to art lovers in Southland and Otago; based in the Waimumu Te Tipua Hall, on the corner of Waimumu and Glendhu Roads. We are open from 10 am to 4 pm daily; entry is $5 at the door; eftpos is available.

Our Exhibition is known for its friendly, warm and relaxed atmosphere. Come and enjoy a Devonshire Tea, adding to the experience that is known as Waimumu Arts. We look forward to you joining us
