Come and walk the route of the new Te Ahu a Turanga Manawatu Tararua Highway and see how much work has already taken place. This is a fundraiser for the Woodville School/Woodville Lions Club. There are 2 options, a 7km and a 13km walk. The age limit for the 7k walk (approx 2 hours) is 5 years and up, and for the 13k walk (approx 3.5 hours), 10 years and up. Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. A reasonable level of fitness is required. Tickets go on sale Monday 19 April, and available from the Tararua i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, Ph 0800 TARARUA (827 278), or email info@tararua.com. Tickets can be emailed and processed over the phone, there is an extra $2.00 fee for this. Last day for purchasing tickets will be 14 May 2021. Time slots for the walks are 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.
