Splash & Dash - designed for 6 yr olds
Swim 50 metres
Run 1.5 km

Swim - ocean
50 m - 200m depending on your age

Bike - on closed road
4km (7-10yrs), 8km (11-15yrs)

Run - on grass
1.5 km
The swim runs parallel to the beach. Tryathletes are generally able to stand up during the swim, but we encourage everyone to give swimming a go! Transition is located up the beach, on the fields nearby, and the bike and run legs are around the field and on sealed surfaces.

As a series, it is the world's largest sporting event for kids and is New Zealand's premier kids sporting event. the Nelson event regularly attracts 1700+ participants.
