Wellington Día de Muertos

Kia Ora! ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Wellington Día de Muertos/Day of the Dead celebration!

Día de Muertos is a holiday that reunites the living and dead. It is a holiday for celebrating life and death, a holiday where mourning is exchanged for celebration.

Opening at midday and continuing until 8 pm on the 2nd of November 2021 at Public Trust Hall, Te Aro.
Come and appreciate the offrendas (altars) or contribute to the community altar to honour those who have passed on. Starting at 6 pm, there will also be Mexican Folklorico performances and Mariachi music brought to us by Carlos Navae.
