Where Words Fail: Songwriting for Beginners

This course has the potential to cover lyricism, setting words to music, chords and chord progressions, song structure, arrangement, tools, and approach.

Where we spend our energy as a class will depend on the cumulative needs of the songwriters who attend.

Maggie is an American born singer-songwriter based in Whangarei. She specialises in popular voice performance, instruction, and composition, with heavy pop, rock, blues, folk, jazz, and RnB influence.

Fans of singer-songwriters from the 60s onwards will appreciate her 'sincere and timeless style’.
Together with such bands as: The Maggie Cocco Band, Maggie Cocco’s Science for Sociopaths,
The Lucky Devils, All-Star Jukebox, Moonlight Music Productions, etc.
She has performed and released original material for audiences worldwide since 2014.
