Selina Tusitala Marsh is a force of nature in Aotearoa New Zealand’s literary landscape while Ben Brown is instrumental in encouraging us to read the words of often unheard voices.

Both Selina and Ben have been chosen to give The Read NZ Te Pou Muramura Pānui (formerly the Book Council Lecture), which is a prominent part of the literary landscape in Aotearoa New Zealand. It provides an opportunity for one of our country’s leading writers to discuss an aspect of literature close to their heart.

Selina and Ben will be in conversation with Featherston Booktown Chair and Read NZ Te Pou Muramura Chair, Peter Biggs, about two lives of ground-breaking literary achievement which, in every way, are “lived out loud”.
