Every week in Aotearoa, three families are told the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer. The treatment these children undergo often means they need to brave the world with no hair.
You can show your support for these children and their whānau by joining us for Wig Wednesday this September. Whether you're a business, community group or school, simply get involved by wearing a wig, styling a funky hairdo, or shaving your head, all while raising funds and awareness for Child Cancer Foundation.
Your efforts will ensure that more kids and whānau impacted by childhood cancer are provided with the essential support they need, every step of the way. Last year, 450 amazing schools, businesses and community groups helped raise over $240,000 for tamariki with cancer and their families on Wig Wednesday. In 2021, we want to beat that... but we’ll need your help!
The national event date is Wednesday 8 September, 2021, but you can choose any date that works for you. Just get wiggy!
