Multi disciplined fibre artist Anita Peters is offering to share her techniques of creating baskets using a variety of natural and found materials. Located at the unique historic Fairholme Homestead outdoor garden studio in the beautiful Golden Bay.

The workshop commences with the fundamentals of basic basket construction before exploring the exciting challenges of incorporating ‘found and foraged' materials, gathered from the homesteads woodland garden to create baskets of every shape and form. Cane and willow are available to make a traditional basket if preferred, materials cost extra.

If you have previously attended Anita's workshop you are welcome to return for day two to build on your existing skills.

The location for this workshop is at the private historic homestead of Fairholme, set in an idyllic rural setting with unique wild gardens and surrounds. East Takaka is a one and a half hours scenic drive from Central Nelson.
