How do local sea creatures adapt to catch their food, avoid predators and stay alive?

Take the Port to Port Ferry from Port Chalmers on Saturday 24 April to the NZ Marine Studies Centre, Portobello and avoid a return car journey from West Harbour to Portobello of 90 minutes.

Recommended for adults and children over 5.

Join a marine scientist at the NZ Marine Studies Centre at Portobello to find out about marine food webs - who eats what in the ocean.

You will see microscopic plankton, investigate the stomach contents of a squid or shark and enjoy close up viewing of a variety of sea animals in our tanks and touch pools.

Children attending this event can earn a Kiwi Guardian Wild Dunedin Medal. The Marine Studies Centre will give you the information on how to claim your medal on www.wilddunedin.nz

Port to Port will depart from Back Beach, Port Chalmers. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure time.

Port to Port information: 020 4162 4250

Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
