Kia ora,
As you will now be aware, tonight (Saturday, 27 February 2021), the Prime Minister announced an alert level change. Auckland moving to Alert Level 3 and the rest of the country to Alert Level 2 as of tonight.
As a result of this, The Board of Wings over Wairarapa has made the difficult decision to cancel Sunday’s air show.
The team is absolutely gutted, especially after an amazing day today, but your health and safety, and the health and safety of our volunteers, crew and pilots is paramount. We are also following Government and Ministry of Health guidelines.
We will send updated information around the Refund and Donation options available to ticket holders in a few days.
You don’t need to do anything at this stage, but to reiterate - Sunday 28th February will no longer be going ahead as planned.
Keep safe.

The beautiful Wairarapa (just 90 minutes from Wellington) provides a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of aerial action over three days. You will see over 70 aircraft including vintage, military, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays, skydiving and much more!
Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or just want an entertaining day out for your friends and family, Wings over Wairarapa has so much to offer. In addition to the spectacular flying programme, there are fantastic ground displays and activities for small and big kids alike. The Vintage Aviator aircraft collection based at Hood Aerodrome in Masterton is the largest flying collection of WWI aircraft in the world. Many of these aircraft can only be seen at Hood Aerodrome. This collection will feature prominently in the flying programme and on the ground displays.
Across the Aerodrome you can get up close to other aircraft, see displays from Emergency Services as well as delicious food and wine and market stalls. It’s going to be a great day out for families, friends or on your own whether you’re a plane enthusiast or after some great weekend entertainment.
