Women on Top is back with another inspirational sit-down event curated to bring women together for a night of stories about careers, survival, success and songs by special guest speakers and performers.

This event will be hosted by Rachel Axis, a guest speaker from June’s WOT.

Local Favourite street food vendor ‘ Hello Rosie’ will be open again for the event

We will be auctioning/raffling off prizes this time around to raise funds for a cause very close to Rachel’s heart - Pet Refuge.

Pet Refuge Provides shelter for pets affected by domestic violence, and helps owners leave. Their shelter will ensure pet owners know their animals are safe while they start a new life.

Helen Van is the co-founder of the activewear brand aim’n - which is a devotion to positivity and celebration of femininity. The mission is to empower women around the world to believe in themselves and inspire them to follow their hearts and true dreams in life.

The brand was created by Helen and Tekla, two gals from Sweden, back in 2013 - and with no experience of design, manufacturing, logistics, running an online shop or a business, the duo made their dream a reality.

Aim’n has gone from being a start-up to having customers and retailers in 160+ countries and inspiring thousands of women everyday.

Cherie Metcalfe

Creator of food brand Pepper and Me, and Author of cookbook- Keepers.

Obsessed with food from the early years, Cherie adorably named the business after her daughter Pepper.

Cherie started the Pepper and Me journey as a chef in Auckland and left the long hours of hospitality to spend more mummy time with Pepper. Cherie is the proud author of Keepers cookbook and an ever-growing business. We are lucky enough to hear about the hard work, laughter, tears and ups and downs it took to get to where she is today!

Mary, Partner at very popular and local law firm Cooney Lees Morgan was clearly destined to a life of law after choosing it over a scholarship to a fine arts school. She is now the current President of the Resource Management Law Association and is knee-deep in the resource management law reforms.

She owns Tastefully Tash Studios, which is a content creation business that creates ‘thumb stopping’ imagery for food and product brands. She also collaborates with different brands from far and wide on her aesthetically beeeeeaautiful and very popular ( nearing 50K ) insta page @tastefullytash. She is the co-host of highly ranked social media marketing podcast ‘Ace the Gram’ which she shares with the wonderful Viv Conway.

Vanessa Immink

Theatre Maker, Producer & Marketer

Vanessa Immink is a successful wahine Māori/Pākehā theatre maker, producer and marketer, with experience in touring large scale international productions to independent solo shows across Aotearoa & Australia.

Most recently, she was the Senior Producer and Marketing Manager for Kia Mau Festival, a Maori, Pasifika & Indigenous Arts Festival in Wellington.

Molly Rowlandson

Leukaemia Survivor and Lead Singer of Molly & The Chromatics

You may know Molly already from a busy Summer with her band, playing the likes of Bay Dreams, Rhythm and Vines,the list goes onnn!

Molly was diagnosed out of the blue with Leukaemia in February 2013 at the age of 20 years old. After 3 years of chemo, she finished treatment at the age of 23 and has since then been diagnosed with a joint disorder, and has had a shoulder replacement in 2018. In August 2020 she had her 5-year post-treatment cure, and it is a privilege for us to have Molly join us at WOT to tell her story of her journey of survival and how it ignited her drive to pursue what she loves most in life, music.
