2D to 3D

Do you like drawing and working with your hands?
Brush up on your 2D skills and build up a 3D model.

Are you looking for a course that offers more than just drawing? Here’s a workshop that starts with some technical drawing; one, two and three point perspective and extending to orthographic projections.
These drawings will enable you to create a 3D model from your drawing. It’s like architectural model making but we won’t stop there. Depending on how innovative and creative you want to get, once you have the basics you can go ‘Nek level’ with battery or solar power adding lights, movable parts; whatever you can think of. It’s up to to you decide.

We won’t let our projects get out of control. We will learn how to do simple project management type spreadsheet working within time frames, budgets and skill levels. This means we will learn a bit about planning so we can stay on track and complete our projects.

You are welcome to join at any time but as this is successive it will be best to start at the beginning.

Materials Required:
A3 Sketch pad
Pencil
Sharpener
Eraser
Ruler
We will add building materials as the course progresses such as cardboard, chipboard, glue, utility knives, tracing paper, solar panels, lights, batteries. It will be up to you to supply whatever your project and budget call for.

Term Ticket is $400 which includes one free class and a voucher to bring a friend along to a session for free.
Drop-in is $50 per class.

This workshop is designed as an after school project. Age is recommended at 12 and up but call me if you have questions or have someone under 12.
Ideally I'd love for adults and young ones to come and work together, even if the adult can only attend sometimes. The cost for adult and child attending together is the same as the cost for one person.
