3 Day Learn to Surf Courses in Raglan

This surf course is for anyone who wants to learn to surf, or progress faster through the novice stages.

It will suit those that have never surfed before as well as those that have surfed a little bit, or even quite a lot, but are struggling with the basics.

You'll learn in a supportive small group environment as we cap the groups at 6 people to ensure plenty of feedback from your coach.

The lessons are different each day as we progress you towards green wave surfing and turning. You will learn skills like the correct popup that the pros use (no 2 stage "beginner" methods), a good stance that allows you to maintain speed and makes turning easier later on, wave reading for both whitewaters and green waves, angled/on rail takeoffs to start surfing across waves instead of straight to shore, paddling technique plus advice on how to get out the back, green wave positioning and timing out the back, turning forehand and backhand on the wave face.

We also have a session on surf forecasting on our phones and answer any questions at all that you might have about surfing!
