A Cathedral Choir Open Day

Have you ever wondered what it is like to sing in a Cathedral Choir? Join us to learn anthems, chants and hymns for a service. Chat to choir members over afternoon tea and stay to enjoy Evensong at 5 pm.
Members of the Waiapu Cathedral Choir find that singing in regular rehearsals and services vastly improves our sight-reading! We sing a huge variety of music in all genres, from early music to classic hymns, jazz and modern compositions. And if you think that singing every Sunday won't fit your busy life, take note that we are planning to form another choir which will sing a service about 4 times each year. That might suit you better. If you love to sing and have some music-reading skills you are welcome to come along to our Open Day and give it a go, or simply observe the rehearsal.
