From 3 December 2022 – 15 January 2023 Okains Bay Museum will feature displays of Christmas trees throughout the museum’s buildings and collections spaces. You’ll be transported back in time to a Christmas night over 100 years ago, with uniquely designed trees decorated by talented local artists and craftspeople.
Opening Night of Christmas at the Museum: 3 December 2022
Free evening entry to the Museum and the Christmas Tree Display on opening night.
4 pm - 8 pm: Christmas Market in the Museum Bach Grounds featuring arts, crafts and produce from the Bay. Bring a picnic and enjoy an evening in the grounds of the Museum's retro bach.
The Museum will be closed to the public while the displays are professionally lit by The Light Site.
5 pm - 6 pm: Children's Event featuring a special guest dropping in from his home in the North Pole, and a preview of the Christmas Tree Displays.
8:30 pm: Tree Lighting at sunset and carols fill the Museum to herald in the Festive Season at Okains Bay.
4 December to 15 January: All trees will be on display to the public. Wednesday-Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm. Usual admission charges apply.
