“Subtle power, sensitive soul, sultry sound, sensational singing.” – Muzic.net.nz

It’s been a long time coming!

Jackie was meant to play the Small Halls back in September, just before she winged her way back to Nashville, Tennessee.

But we all know that little about life has been as we expected it to be lately.

So now, hot on the heels of the release of her widely acclaimed new album, Jackie is finally getting to play for us.

Jackie is a powerhouse, a dynamic singer songwriter who has forged an incredibly successful career in both Australia and the United States. She has opened for and played alongside such luminaries as Boz Scaggs, Bonnie, Raitt, Chris Isaak & Foreigner. But with the release of “Outsider”, her fifth studio album, I anticipate she will return to the States very soon as a headline act all of her own.

Born in Gore, but having spent the last twenty years living in Sydney, LA and most recently Nashville, she was visiting family when COVID struck, and so for the last two years has called Wanaka home.

Her new album is sublime, it’s an album that encompasses, Americana, folk, soul & more. At the heart of it are great songs and her amazing voice.

She’s getting plenty of airplay on radio in the US, and really should be touring there, but instead, we get to have her here in our small halls. It is going to be such a thrill to hear these songs live.

Plenty to see on her website.
