A Very Welly Christmas 2022

Wellington City Council’s popular A Very Welly Christmas is back for two days of fun, free, whānau-friendly entertainment, and activities – and everyone’s invited!

From midday on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November, we're taking over Lambton Quay and bringing festive cheer with live music, an ice-rink, snow dome, face-painting, magicians, street performances, inflatables and more.

We will be welcoming Santa at 12pm noon each day, and waving him on as he travels from Ballance Street down to the Old Bank Arcade.

On Saturday 26 November from 5pm-7pm, bring your best singing voice along to Carols in Midland Park. Grab a blanket and some kai, and get ready to falalalala.

Enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping, and have a bite to eat, while enjoying a pedestrian access only Lambton Quay for the weekend.
