Abstract | A Group Show
25th March 2022 – 21 April 2022

Ahuriri Contemporary offers an opportunity to view two previously un-exhibited masterpieces from the Allen Maddox estate. Gathered around these two works is a grouping of Aotearoa’s foremost abstract artists (late mid and emerging career artists), represented by Aotearoa’s best galleries, whose works are housed in private and public institutions both here and internationally. For most of these artists it would be the first time showing here in the Heretaunga. The exhibition will be a unique celebration not only of some of Aotearoa’s best artists but significant in that Maddox was domiciled in Ahuriri for a large part of his working career.

Featuring Anoushka Akel, Phillipa Blair, James Cousins, Richard Bryant, Cat Fooks, Sarah Louise Keber, Patrick Lundberg, Allen Maddox and more.

Please email info info@ahuriricontemporary.com to RSVP for the opening which will be held on Friday 25th March, 5-7pm under red light settings.
