The bright colours and irresistible beats of Africa are coming to The Bases Wynyard Quarter (behind Silo Park) this month. With a packed lineup of talented artists with strong connections to Africa, dance, markets and some of Tāmaki Makaurau’s tastiest food trucks, you won’t want to miss this chance to immerse in all things Africa.

Treat your ears to internationally-renowned Rwandan-Kiwi rapper Raiza Biza, Zimbabwe-born TK Paradza, DJ Banty, PHAROAHSWAMi, Burundian Kiwi DJ ORIKoL, Warren Duncan and Amapiano Band, Afrounitdance NZ, Afro-fusion singer-songwriter Chika Adeosun, DJ Magoo, Audrey and the Afro-Tronic dance studio.

Africa Day is the first of many cultural celebrations by African Youth Movement Aotearoa (AYMA), a women-led organisation which nurtures and supports young African creatives in Aotearoa.
