Scholars Baroque Aotearoa Chamber Choir team up once again with NZBarok for their highly anticipated and much-loved annual performance of Handel’s Messiah. As we rush about preparing for the busyness of the Christmas season, take a moment to be still and enjoy this seasonal favourite. Special guest conductor, Mr. Handel, returns to conduct a baroque-inspired performance featuring the period - 18th century instruments of NZBarok and a line up of international NZ soloists.

The following reviews are from a first time concert goer and someone very familiar with the work.
"That night, I learned so much about the range of sound the human voice could produce; from the earthy low notes to the angelic highs. The well-oiled choir sang together seamlessly, with harmonies so intricate I had chills."
Cayla-Fay, 2020
"I have sung Messiah several times and heard it many more times before but NEVER LIKE THAT!!! It was absolutely brilliant. It has opened up a whole new perspective on the work. I have a new appreciation of what can be achieved."
Pam, 2019
